Dubai Business Leaders Set to Unleash Power of Software Following Sage Solutions Day

DUBAI, UAE, 20 April 2008 – In a further demonstration of its commitment and dedication to the UAE’s growth, Sage Software wrapped up the Dubai leg of its Solutions Day regional tour. Meeting over 70 decision makers and business leaders, Sage outlined how companies can make best use of technology through training, deployment, and usage models.

Joined by UAE-based partners, Sage’s technical consultants laid out user case studies from across the region to explain how UAE firms can and should leverage off the power of software to maximize profitability, revenue, and customer satisfaction, as well as streamlining internal business processes.

“Technology can be a wonderful leveler. Small to medium sized businesses can compete with much larger enterprise organizations if they utilize IT that can aid in analyzing their customer data to identify new sales opportunities. That’s where Sage and its partner community come in,” explained Sage Software Middle East Managing Director Marc Van der Ven.

Attendees had the opportunity to hear from one of Sage’s UAE customers, Abu Dhabi-based National Services and Contracting Company (NSCC). The contracting firm, one of the largest in the UAE’s capital, has successfully deployed and customized Sage Accpac ERP 500 to improve day-to-day business operations across its workforce.

“While we realized the benefits of the ERP Solutions, we were looking for a partner that could help us leverage off our investments and provide us with strong returns both in terms of efficiency and also in terms of providing a platform for further growth. Sage and its channel partners talked us through everything; they demonstrated to us that they’re committed to our success. We couldn’t have chosen a better partner,” said Yazan Abu Hantash, Financial Controller, NSCC.

Sage rolled out its latest ERP solution, X3 Enterprise, which has already made a major impression among UAE manufacturers looking for a product that can be integrated rapidly but yet provides the flexibility to grow rapidly in step with the needs of the business. “From day one, X3 has been developed and tested for the manufacturing sector to meet the sector’s requirements spot on. We’ve already seen how well this has been adopted worldwide, and we’ve received a very warm response from this solution here in Dubai as well,” said David Upson, senior X3 consultant, Sage Software.

Other sectors catered to by Sage’s Solution Day included the buoyant real estate space. Sage’s CRM experts were on hand to talk attendees through the company’s award-winning Sage CRM. “A lot of companies think they need an expensive, large CRM that’ll take months to deploy and customize. What Sage offers is a different vision, an out-of-the-box solution that is configurable to meet your unique needs. CRM need not be an underserved market, as it is by other vendors. Sage has the solution which will transform how your sales and marketing teams work,” added Sage’s Bahrain-based Middle East sales manager Jawad Squalli.
“We wanted to give our loyal customers as well as potentials a glimpse as to what we have in store for them. Sage has been in the Middle East for a long time, longer than most other software vendors, and we understand what companies need and want. We’re catering to this demand in solutions that support the growth of UAE-based companies and we’ll be coming out with even more solutions soon,” concluded Van der Ven.
